Wesley Nurse services at Bethany UMC
Bethany United Methodist Church is blessed to have a Wesley Nurse onsite. Wesley Nurses are employed by Methodist Healthcare Ministries/Wesley Nurse Health Ministries and placed in select churches throughout the Southwest Conference. The WN is a registered nurse who works with the church to provide holistic health (body, mind, and spirit) services and information to the congregation and community. The goal is to serve the underserved and empower individuals to take charge of their own health.

- Blood Pressure Screenings
- Blood Glucose Screenings
- Group and Individual Health Education
- Physical Activity and Nutritional Programs
- Referrals for Services
The Wesley Nurse also partners with other organizations and professionals to expand the range of educational topics offered, as well as to bring her services to a broader audience.
Donations of medical equipment/supplies:
On behalf of Methodist Healthcare Ministries and per MHM policy, we need to inform you that the Wesley Nurses are not allowed to accept donations of Medical equipment/supplies and or medications from clients /church members to give away to others; this is a liability.
We appreciate your thoughtfulness and your generous heart. We do have a list of places that will accept these items.
